Corporate Relocation / Expansion Post Merger
THE CHALLENGE
Following the merger of BankCard USA and Preferred Payments, the newly rebranded Ecrypt doubled its employee headcount and needed a workspace that reflected its evolving identity. The company was initially exploring expansion within its existing building, but the only option available involved two non-contiguous spaces—a setup that didn’t align with their collaborative culture or growth plans. With new leadership and a fresh brand vision, Ecrypt sought a single, cohesive environment that embodied their forward-looking image, supported their larger team, and provided room for future expansion
THE SOLUTION
Ecrypt engaged Westcord as their exclusive tenant representative to identify the best possible space in the Conejo Valley—without spending weeks touring multiple properties. Leveraging long-standing relationships and deep local market intelligence, Westcord immediately identified an off-market opportunity: the former Los Angeles Rams headquarters in Agoura Hills.
Although the space was not publicly listed and still under the Rams’ lease, Westcord’s connections uncovered that the team was eager to relocate to their new Woodland Hills facility. Acting quickly, Westcord facilitated a creative and mutually beneficial transaction—negotiating a long-term lease for Ecrypt at highly favorable terms, while enabling the Rams to expedite their move.
The result was a win-win outcome: Ecrypt secured a premier office space perfectly aligned with their brand and growth trajectory, and the Rams successfully transitioned ahead of schedule.
THE IMPACT
The Ecrypt transaction exemplifies Westcord’s ability to uncover off-market opportunities and craft strategic, win-win solutions for clients with complex requirements. By securing a premier, fully branded headquarters space without an extensive market search, Ecrypt was able to elevate its company image, enhance operational efficiency, and position itself for future growth.
This deal also underscores Westcord’s reputation for local market intelligence, discreet deal-making, and trusted relationships with property owners and tenants across the Conejo Valley—factors that continue to differentiate the firm in high-stakes tenant representation assignments.
